THE CLEAN HEADSTONE™ – Frequently Asked Questions

THE CLEAN HEADSTONE™ is specially formulated for high-polished natural granite headstones and monuments. It should not be used on porous, non-polished, marble, limestone, sandstone, or bronze surfaces.
Yes. Our formula uses natural-based, non-hazardous components that clean without scratching, dulling, or damaging polished granite.
Most families clean headstones 3 to 5 times per year, depending on weather, location, and buildup. THE CLEAN HEADSTONE™ is safe for regular maintenance.
Our scrubbing pad is non-scratch and safe for polished granite. It is not recommended for marble, limestone, or soft stone surfaces. Before full use, always test the scrubbing pad and cleaning product together in a non-conspicuous area first to confirm compatibility with the specific stone.
THE CLEAN HEADSTONE™ is very effective at removing water stains, surface buildup, dirt, organic residue, and general discoloration from polished granite. Depending on the condition of the headstone, multiple applications and additional scrubbing sessions may be required to achieve the best results. Deep hard-water etching, however, cannot be removed by any cleaner because the marks are physically etched into the stone’s surface.
Yes. Both the Traditional Engraving Paint and Laser Engraving Paint are cemetery-grade, durable, and formulated specifically for monuments and headstones.
When applied properly, the paint can last several years, depending on weather exposure and cemetery conditions. However, because cleaning can naturally fade or remove paint from engraved letters, most engraving paint will need to be re-applied after each thorough cleaning session to maintain a crisp, bold finish.
